When my son was about 12, he went through a model-building stage and made a replica of a car my husband once had. Well, I was dusting today, and yes, I dropped it! The main body stayed intact, but wheels and little pieces went flying.
I quickly gathered the little pieces and casually made my way on down to my craft corner, trying not to look guilty. Thank heaven for hot glue! The back suspension looks a little higher than before, and I think I put the rear bumper on upside down. There were a few small pieces left over, but I glued the hood shut so no one could tell. I think it will pass inspection...we really don't look that closely at it anyway.
Moral of the story: dusting is NOT a good thing!
I'd get a face lift - but then it wouldn't match my body! |

I have been there many times, my son used to build models all the time, I make a mess of several of them, but did the same thing you did , glued pieces back on where I thought they would look the best. NANCY JO

My mom never discovered the glued together pieces of the lazy susan (playing with ball in house) so you should be okay!!!
And I concur with Rhonda!

I have a needlwork sign in my kitchen that says "Housework Makes You Ugly." Although to look at me you'd think I'd done plenty!
Would a feather duster help with these fragile things?

Mary Ann - I seriously doubt that housework has made you ugly! You know, they say that people begin to look like their animals after a while, and your animals are beautiful!
I do use a swifter duster...my mistake was in trying to lift the display box rather than just move it from side to side. Hmmmm, I'm thinking maybe just a hair dryer set on HIGH might work just as well! ;-D
I'd get a face lift - but then it wouldn't match my body! |
