I have recently started making a crochet mini blanket/lovey with granny squares and it seems a bit lopsided. Is this a normal thing and will work out in the end? Or are my stitches not tight enough? What do I need to change to make this look correct? Thanks for the help.

The stitches have to be "set" after the square is finished. To do this, roll the square up and pull sharply by the ends. Roll it up from an adjacent side and do the same. The square will look much better.

I never heard of that technique, Marie. Wow! I'll have to try it! Where did you learn that?

I signed up for Pauline Turner's Crochet Master Course back in 2013. It is a juried correspondence course in which a person sends in samples of work, three projects and a research paper. This is a huge UFO of mine which I should really pull out and get some support from my sisters here to finish. Pauline is a professional crochet designer and instructor from England.

Thank you Marie! I'll give that a try. Do I do it after each round? Or just at the very end?

That's a great idea, I've only ever blocked crochet projects, never tried pulling to square them up!
