I planted some Goji berry rootstock this spring. I've only had the berries dried, and was excited to try them fresh. They're BITTER!
They taste wonderful, until you swallow them and the bitterness is enough to make you stop eating them. I thought, perhaps, I harvested before they were fully ripe, so I waited for them to be VERY ripe. The initial taste was better, but the bitterness remains.
Does anyone have experience with growing gojis? Do I need to just dry them? Maybe I need to remove the seeds? Most of this harvest has gone to waste, because I can't eat more then a few thanks to the bitterness.
Please help! Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
