Just thought it would be fun to share a picture of some of the girls at christmas. I finally was able to get basic knitting down over the last year and practiced by making scarves. So....everybody got scarves for christmas this year! haha I'm the redhead and the others are my MIL, SIL, step daughter and my youngest son Christien. He jumped in at the last minute.

We did a scarf thing in California too. All my cousions wives got scarfs as did one of my sister and my grandmother, great aunt, aunt, and a 1st cousion once removed. I think there where about 16 scarfs in all the guys got chocolate thought they would like that better.

I wasn't sure how people would respond to the scarves, but they were actually thrilled with them. We had a ball!!

Missy

Sunshine-thanks for posting the picture. I think it's coming out small because it was forwarded to me and then when I saved it to my computer, I didn't get the full size photo. If I can figure it out(I'm pretty computer illiterate), I'll post a bigger photo.

The picture is great! I got one of her scarves too and I just love it. It's so nice and soft.

And I know I'm prejudice but I think my gal is pretty too!

Thanks girls for all the sweet words!! It was just four days after my surgery, so I wasn't feelin' too pretty, but made the best of it and had fun anyway.

I think I'm becoming as addicted to knitting as I am to making soap!! haha

Great scarves! I've been knitting for a few months now, but for some reason only just started to try a scarf. I won a gift certificate to our local yarn shop and decided to buy some yarn that I wouldn't otherwise let myself buy, it's a handpainted silk. I didn't know what else to do with it so I'm making a scarf for myself! I hope it turns our as nice as yours did!

Great scarves, Missy, and high five to a fellow redhead! I made a lap blanket for my dad and scarves for my boys this year, all well received! Now that they know you're talented with pointy sticks and string, you're in for it! Nance

It's funny because I have 2 best friends who I have made scarves for for years...I think they each have at least 6 (probably more) that I have crocheted for them over the years...well this year I tried to come up wioth something different, thinking they were most likely SICK of getting scarves and hats...well, Kim didn't say anything about it, but Liz said she was really disappointed that I 'skipped' this year!!!

So, it wasn't a scarf year for me, but I guess it should have been!
