I recieved 5 aprons as Christmas gifts this year..whoo hoo.My mom in law passed on 2 that had been hers, one of which had been in the family for a while, and another that she had and didn't know where it originated from, but she had owned it for quite a while...and then she found one for me that says "I'm a plain girl...I like plain things..like plain MONEY" ..:0)(so 3 aprons from mom in law for Christmas) And my husband and daughter found me two cute gingham aprons off of ebay. I'll have to start taking pictures, because my apron collection is growing now.

I made my daughter a matching Chrismtas apron to the star quilter potholder she made in sewing class at school. Now she has her first things to put away for when she starts her own home. I've been thinking hope chest, but my husband's old trunk will have to do.
I found a lovely gingham half apron that was smocked (very similar to the one in MJF apron issue) for $12 at a local store. She assures me an Amish lady made it/owned it. I don't care. Whoever did make it spent a lot of time on it, It is so lovely.

I just got a late present from my teaching partner, two vintage aprons. They are both beautiful. One is pink with beautiful dainty embroidery on the waist band and pockets. And the other is a full apron, which I plan to take a pattern off of. I've never posted a picture but I'll try later this week. I made her an apron from a vintage pattern for her gift. So this was our Apron Christmas. Mary

I made my husband's Nana (his dad's mom) an apron for Christams. It was a ahlf apron out of yellow gardenia-print fabric and I made my own pattern for it. It had a ruffle on the bottom edge and two big pockets out of contrasting fabric. She loved it!!! Now I just need to make one for myself! |

I just love aprons. I got the one for my swap partner done and off and liked it so much, I made myself the same one in the leftover fabric. Hope you like it Susan.
