I just learned from Face Book that Portia was killed in an accident a few days ago. I'm in such shock as I know you all will be.

We were swap partners many times. She prayed for me, taught me so much and was so kind to me!! I loved her! I know I will see her in Heaven someday!

Pray for her precious family.

Denise I just saw it. I got to know her from farmgirl swaps, that's why I posted here. She was my partner many times! I did her card swaps many times. The paperdoll swap. She sent me the cutest Monkey Paperdoll I have ever seen! I have been off the computer since Friday. I had lily June while her mom was out of town working. I saw it on Face Book. I was so shocked. She will be missed here on MJF terribly!! I still have her Easter card out from my little tree. I know she is in Heaven!

Kelly, My brother called right when I saw it on Face book and I went to pieces. I can't stop crying! She was a wonderful prayer partner also! My brother added her family to his church prayer list. He knows how I love my farm sisters and how I am always showing off their art! and swaps. Oh, I know they will miss her. I miss her already!! Heaven is a little brighter!!

She was a very special lady and I was in some swaps with her. Always kind and always putting you in her prayers.

She will be missed greatly!

I didn't know Portia as well as some of you did...but we were Swap Partners several times and
I really enjoyed those brief encounters with her. Heavens gain is our loss. I know she would
not want you all weeping for her...because she is exactly where we all want to be someday. Maybe
the best tribute you can give her is to lift your hearts in Praise...because when she opened her
eyes immediately after death...she saw Jesus Face to Face!!!

In Special Memory and Christian Love,
Peggy

Oh my, she was so sweet. It saddens me to hear this. I will keep her family in my prayers.

I read Denise's post but I didn't recognized the name. It wasn't until Connie posted her last name that I knew who Portia Troupe was. I enjoyed reading her posts and will miss her.

Connie and Others...you honor her by your Special Memories of her. The Card and what she wrote is
an example...of that. For some reason the Angel comments reminded me of when my precious Mother In Law
passed...I woke up the morning of her Memorial Service with these words playing over and over in my
Head...so, I jotted them down and tucked them in all the family members pockets when we hugged at
The Service. "DON'T WEEP FOR ME...FOR WHERE I GO ANGELS SING!"

Big Hugs,
Peggy

I just saw this on FB a few minutes ago. I was a Season Swap partner with her a few years back and we were swap partners many times since. This saddens me. Will anyone else be sending her family a card? I think that would be great if some of us would to let the family know how special she was to our sisterhood. RIP Portia. We'll sure miss you here on the farm.

Oh, I am so saddened!! I have just seen this thread and am in shock and disbelief. Portia was a friend to everyone!! I cannot believe it. She had such a strong faith! Thank you for being the person you were and still are! We will miss your sweet encouragements and posts. We will all do well to honor her by living the words she shared from time to time with all of us. Love and prayers, Beth

You can never be too kind!

Thank you for starting this thread Connie. Portia was a special lady. She was also my swap partner many times and taught me a lot. I already miss her terribly and my heart is so sad.
I am sending her family a card. They have been through so much in the past months. Portia touched so so many people.

OH, I am so, so very sad to hear this news. Portia was such a dear and sweet person. I have just read this post at work and am struggling to not be a mess. My thoughts are with her family. She will be greatly missed here on the forum. <3

Portia was a dear farmgirl sister and I knew her through swaps as well. I also could count on her as one of go-to prayer warriors . . . and awesome lady! Sad news, but thankful she is safe in the arms of Jesus!

I had posted on the prayer thread that if anyone wishes to send a card to Don and the family I have the address. Just let me know and I'll email it to you. Because this is a public forum I won't post it here.
