Does anyone remember a product called olive butter? It came in a small jar in the grocery store, and I think the jar could be used as a juice glass when it was empty. I don't think there was actually any butter in it, just ground olives, maybe oil and spices. My Mom loved it, and we haven't seen it in years. It is not the kind you can still find with cream cheese and pimento in it.

Thanks!

Wow! Never heard of it. Whereabouts in the country was that?

That sounds like a tapenade. You may find that in the olive dept, or in a specialty store. Or make your own! That's what I do.
I have also found some at TJ Maxx. If it is the same thing you are thinking of.
I take olive oil, olives (as many different varieties that I have on hand), a bit of carrot, garlic, maybe some onion and red pepper, crushed red pepper etc, and blend in the vitamix. So good.
