Howdy to everyone!

When I found Mary Janes Magazine a couple of years ago, I was so excited! It felt like home. I don't live on a farm now, but grew up on one. We live in a small town (small being 400 people, maybe!).

I have 6 children, 4 still at home. I have one granddaughter that is 18 months oldand we have so much fun with her. I'm married to Kendall for 28 years and have the privilege of staying home and home schooling.

I do lots of quilting, knitting, crocheting, home cooking and playing with kiddos.

I look forward to getting to know everyone! It is hard to find anyone in our little town who does anything at all from scratch, or by hand, or the old-fashioned, slow way...reading through the forums is like coming home to homeade cookies and hot chocolate!

Valerie

Welcome Valerie! Im Eren and live in WI currently, but grew up in TX and OK. We lived in Perry, Ardmore, Elk City, Claremore, Ponca City. I graduated college from OSU and then lived in Norman after that. Where is Goltry? I thought I knew where most little towns were in OK having lived all over the state, LOL! Welcome!

Good morning! I told you Goltry was small! It is 18 miles northwest of Enid. I went to NOC college and had good friends in Ponca City, so I spent a lot of time there.

We've lived here for 12 years. I grew up and lived in and around the Ringwood area until then.

Welcome Valerie,

You will love everyone here. I have a connection to Oklahoma as well. My Dad grew up in Cordell. Is that anywhere near where you are?

Cordell is actually 1 1/2 to 2 hours south of us. My son lived in Weatherford for 3 years, which is fairly close to Cordell. But when they found out they were pregnant a couple years ago, they moved much closer to home

Take care!

Welcome Valerie,
It's good to feel that your not the only one on the block (or country mile) that enjoys the "make it from scratch" idea!
we are a home school family too. My husband works full time for a couple more years before he retires. I work at home on the farm, raising Cert. Organic Salad Greens. We couldn't be happier. Glad that you joined the group. I look forward to getting to know you better.
