Easter is in March this year and I thought it would be fun to have a an Easter mug rug swap. There are so many cute ideas on the Internet. For those new to mug rugs, They are larger than a coaster, smaller than a place mat. A perfect size to put a cup and a treat on. Sign-ups will go through February 15th. Mail out will be March 7th.
As always tucks are welcome, but certainly not necessary.

I think I have a pattern in mind but just messed up one of those easy peasy Tube pillowcase patterns LOL! Gotta fix that first.
Then I will pick a fun very easy pattern for this swap, that even I can do...

Don't feel bad I could not wrap my head around those pillowcases until someone showed me how. I guess i'm more of a visual learner or the instructions I had were screwy.

I played the Missouri quilt Tube pillow case instructions at least 5 times and did a small sample to convince myself I was doing it right. Meanwhile my Quiltie cat was no help at all, eyeing my,sewing pins- trying to figure out if they were cat toys or not.
Pillow case done. Check. Pocket letter done, coloring page done -- a few more swaps and I'll be caught up!! Yeah!! Someone remind me not to do a half dozen swaps each month!!

Are the mug rugs always quilted or could they be hooked rugs? I need to make some sample hooked mug mats for a 4-H camp.
