                      | Just came back from our one and only local dry cleaners with my thrift store find... a suede and sherpa coat. The lady behind the counter said it would cost $133.00 to clean it??
Anyone try the 'in dryer' dry cleaning bags (Dry-El?) I've heard about?

 What are your thoughts....

                      | I haven't used those dryer dry cleaning kits for suede or sherpa, but I did use it on a trench coat that was dry clean only and it worked fine for that.

                      | Melody,,, good gosh $133 to clean the coat,,, dang,, you could buy a new one for that kind of money. Have you tried going on-line to see how to hand clean suede as well as wool fleece? I think there is a spray on suede lether cleaner... if you have a Tack-n-Feed store or Western wear store... they may carry products to clean your jacket... I have always thought you are suppose to use a special brush to clean suede...(think of it as brushing a horse) to rough up the suede.
As for the wool fleece,, I would think a barely damp sponge with mild laundry cleaner (think Ivory or Woollite) and just rub it a bit,,, and then with a clean (water) wet rag wipe over the area to remove the soap.
Let us know what you find out about cleaning your fabulous jacket.

                      | Gosh....I still have it hanging up on the hall rack---It's a beautiful coat just not very clean tho.
Thanks for the suggestion Grace-We do have a feed store a few miles from here--Today, is run errands day so I'll have hubby stop in so we can check it out.

Take care Grace and have a good weekend.
