Doing well, spring is my busy outdoor season so nearly all my spare daylight hours are spent getting everything ready for the summer. I do look forward to when it stops raining every day and I don't have to mow so dang often!

I leave tomorrow!!! To go see hubby after TWO LONG MONTHS!!! We (me and three kids) are traveling across the country by plane (literally across the country!) and then next week Tuesday we will begin our travels through the states - we'll begin in Idaho and work our way back across the States and come back into Canada through Bangor, Maine. We'll take a detour down into the southern states so I can visit WILLIAMSBURG (dream come true!!) and a friend in PA. I'm so so so excited...I won't be online for several weeks so just wanted to let you all know :D

How exciting Joyce! Have fun and enjoy it all! Make sure to take some pictures to share with us. Can't wait to hear how it goes.
Rachel, when should your rain stop?
Has anyone heard from Erin? How is she doing? Has she had her baby? Anyone heard from Shannon either?

Good morning dear sisters! Yes, I am still alive ;) Been in a pretty low funk lately! My health is horrible, Emi is failure to thrive, we still are not certain where we are going to live for July and August yet I have to keep packing to prepare for "anything", yet God is good! He will see us through! Hubby is headed to Wyoming this weekend to check out some properties. Super excited about that, and praying we will find the right one!
Rachel - welcome from the "oldie" of the group. Technically I don't belong in this group, but they love me anyway, or at least let me stay ;)
Joyce - way excited for you!!!! I expect by now you are reunited with your hubby, and I am thrilled for you! I am very familiar with those long extensions of not seeing the hubby! So glad that time of our life is almost over... Ready to start a new chapter!
Krista - Erin did have her little man... I'm sure she will pop in on here soon :)
Alicia - continui to pray for you my friend! I actually sent you a text last night with a picture of Emi :) Excited to hear about your new group!
Today we are headed to the zoo to celebrate my youngest boy turning five. And of course it is suppose to rain, lol. So hubby will be picking up four umbrellas for all of us to share! Maybe the zoo will be empty, lol.

Glad to see you back Shannon, but I'm sorry things have been crappy. I hope things will turn around for the better soon. Oh no, what's going on with little Emi? I'll keep my fingers crossed that you find the perfect property. If you move to Wyoming we will be in driving distance from each other! How did your zoo visit turn out? Tell your boy happy birthday from me! I'm so glad Erin had her baby! Is she doing well? How is the baby? Hopefully she checks in soon! I hope we get to see a picture!

I forgot to tell you all! I have three seeds sprouting! I am super excited! The seeds that are coming up are my green bean seeds. I can't wait to see the rest come up. I also have 11 tiny green tomatoes coming on. Plus I had to get some new cucumbers because one of my dogs decided to dig them up and shred them to pieces. My garden is keeping me super busy but I am loving it. If our crazy weather decides to clear up tomorrow I'll get a picture!

Thank you Krista! Emi is just super small... Almost nine months and not even 13 pounds yet! I am severely anemic so I am wondering if that is part of her issue! I started her on beef bone broth the other day, and am hoping that helps! The zoo trip was quite lovely, though it rained the whole time. Nonetheless, we had fun in the rain :) It was actually a lot busier than we expected! They have a new seal and sea lion exhibit that was pretty interesting! Yay on the garden! We have tomatoes growing in two containers out back, and out front with the daffodils are spinach plants. I am super glad we did not plant anything else!

Oh no! Poor little girl. I hope the beef bone broth with help. Have you asked about the anemia? I would be more than happy to share a few pounds with her!! I have plenty left over that I certainly wouldn't miss! I'm glad your zoo trip was a success. It makes me want to go to the zoo now. I know Tilton is to young to understand but it would still be fun. On the other hand he might like it. He does enjoy watching fish swim.
It still poured rain here so I was unable to get a picture but I did see that I now have 7 seeds poking through!

Krista so excited about your seeds!! It's been rainy and cold most of May, unusual for Southern Indiana. I was planning to plant green beans here at home this weekend (we are planting a big row at the farm), but I will have to see if the rain holds off. It is supposed to stop.
When we were at the farm last weekend, we camped in the cabin for the first time! And my mama came! It was all very exciting!! It was cold overnight, so we kept a fire all night on Sat. We saw that we burn through wood REALLY fast in those open fireplaces. I hilled potatoes, what the deer didn't eat! Corn isn't doing well. I am not sure f it is the weather or what?? Anyway, I plan to put up a blog about it all sometime today. I was in a funk most of this week still.... Hoping I can concentrate on things a bit.
We are supposed to be done with school after yesterday, but Isabelle is still finishing up a few subjects and since I slacked SO much these past few weeks with Gabriel, we will continue occasional reading lessons.

Hi ladies! So as you know, Brad is in Wyoming looking at houses. There are some he looked at that are just gorgeous, but way more than what we need. I would rather be farm/homestead poor than house poor! With that said, he just went to another house that I have eyeing up for awhile now and he loves it. He says there is huge potential to make it what we want! It is on 17 acres and is three bedrooms, with two non-conforming bedrooms in the half finished basement. I am already starting to plan things for it, lol. It does not have a garage, but we can always add one later, when/if funds allow. I am hopeful he has found our dream home... And it is a price I can live with a lot better than the others! There is a huge area in front of the house that would be great for an orchard, veggies, and bees. I am so hopeful! I even already know where we could set up a school room and I might even be able to have a craft room!

I hope this house is the one, Shannon! Keep us updated on how it's going.
Thanks for sharing, Alicia. I am going to have to check into my slow cooker now. I use mine all the time. I hope it's safe. I agree. What about coffee cups? So scary with all the things we use.

Hello Ladies! I'm still trying to get caught up on here but saw I missed a ton of new messages while on vacation. We got back from Tennessee last night after having a wonderful family reunion. My entire life feels upside down because 99% of our things are out of the apartment in Chicago, but I'm still living here until Saturday. These next few days cannot pass quickly enough. Once I get a little more settled I will get caught up in the threads and be around here more regularly. I hope everyone is doing good. We FINALLY got some summer weather to stick around, so I'm happy it isn't going to be freezing my last few days in the city :)

I'm jumping on here kinda quick.... I posted in the prayer forum, but wanted to here as well. Back in February I had requested prayers for Blake, my cousin's nephew. At that time, he was born without an anus and had surgery for a colostomy. Yesterday, he started having seizures... I just heard from my cousin about Blake... After numerous tests, he has been diagnosed with lissencephaly... also known as smooth brain syndrome. It is terminal. Most children do not live past the age of ten. His is so severe that he will probably never get past 3 to 5 months old developmentally... he is three months old now.
I honestly do not think I can say anything else about it as I have hit the point where I am just not thinking straight. Please please please pray for this baby and his family!
