Denise,
How cool that you guys got each other as swap partners. What a great excuse to get together! Sounds like a lot of fun.

Partners are posted on the front page. However, I an tell you, that you are partners with me, and I also sent you a PM. If you didn't get it, you might want to check under your junk mail as well :)

Shannon, No I have never met Rita before. I was pretty close to her place today. Had to take dad to a cardiologist appointment in an area nearby.
Sure hoping we can work it out. I have almost everything together for this swap!

As I'm finalizing my ideas on what to send in my package, I just want to know what are some things you don't recommend on sending? I am not very familiar with sending packages and want to make sure what I send arrives correctly.

I have gotten multiple questions regarding this swap and what to send or not to send, as well as monetary amounts people spend... There is no easy answer for this. Here is my advice/two cents...

1. Send items you would like to receive... While I do not think it would be an issue on this forum, I'm going to put it out there anyway...
2. With summer approaching, keep in mind where you are sending things... a chocolate bar isn't necessarily a good idea for someone living in Florida in the middle of the heat wave.
3. I would suggest sending items that represent you (for example you could send a jar of homemade jam or if you are a knitter, something knitted) and well as things that are of interest to your partner (if they collect fairies, angels, etc, or if they love history you could send them something to do with that).
4. Prices vary greatly... I have sent boxes that were almost completely filled with exclusively homemade items.. and other boxes that I have filled with almost exclusively bought items.
5. Have fun! One of the main reasons I personally participate in swaps is the joy and excitement I have as I try to figure out what to send. It is like Christmas four times a year :)

HTH! On a different note, I have had people e-mail me about joining this swap... please please please post on here!!!!!!

Sorry if I sent e-mails to the incorrect place. (still trying to figure out the system) I would like to be included in the swap that is to be mailed by March 12 and haven't found who to send it to. Just don't want to be late.

I'm new to the Farmgirl Connection and would so like to meet people. I live in Bend, Oregon for now. Will be moving to either Wyoming or Colorado in about a month.(Anyone with suggestions for northern Colorado please let me know sferns619@gmail.com) I knit and sew and can't wait to have a garden wherever I end up. Not sure about a milk cow, but chickens are a definite possibility.

Any help is appreciated.
Sue

I too am working on yours Sarah and having fun:-) I do not think you are getting my emails and my son has figured why.
Yes, our weather has been beautiful and we have been enjoying it, but rain and snow is coming in then next day or so they say. Winter is not over yet! I will email you again.
Have a great week!
