I heard on NPR that the milk from evening milking contains more tryptophan than the first milking of the day. This enzyme could help people who have trouble sleeping (they tested it on mice, and the mice who had the evening milk powder were sleepier). What an opportunity for a niche market! This adds other questions, such as- does the morning milk keep you awake? Does it matter if you add chocolate?

Vanessa, this is interesting information you heard on NPR. I am thinking that if you add chocolate, you have the caffeine effect of the chocolate that would work against the tryptophan. Maybe? Great question to find an answer to!~
