Just posted a picture of the farm that I grew up on . Tasha, check out what I did with that little tea towel you sent me yesterday along with my other goodies.I thought it came out pretty cute. SUNSHINE, EFFIE insisted on being in one of the pictures too.

What a beautiful home your family had! Perhaps some day it will be bought back by your family. I grew up in an old farm house from the mid 1800's too. Sadly it was torn down & is now a gas station. They call that progress. I love your collections too, very beautiful. They make your house look like a beautiful home.

Oh Nancy Jo, your home is so beautiful! Dont't be sad, remember the wonderful times you had there. It would be nice to own, but you have a beautiful home now. And that embroidery, how quickly you work. Did you see where I asked, do you have the pattern for your little blue birds you did on that pillow. It is darling. I would love to have the pattern if you have it?

Thanks again for sharing! I really enjoy looking at all your pictures and treasures.

Nancy Jo, I do like your embroidery. Our little farm where I grew up (after I was Married) and raised my kids and had a myriad of animals is now a Water Dept. So sad. I do have an overhead picture like you do. I should put it on my blog. You are so insightful. MB

Berries,
The blue birds were a transfer pattern, you know iron on. You can only use them once. I'am not sure where that one came from. I get a lot of my patterns from PATTERN BEE, BUT NOT SURE IF THAT IS WHERE THE BIRDS CAME FROM. I will check there to be sure and if they have it I will let you know.

How special to have that photo of the farm you grew up on! Our homestead is now owned by my former sister-in-law and it breaks my heart that someone in our family does not own the house anymore. My grandparents built the house, my father was born in it, and we all were raised in it. And my brother and his then-wife were owners and raising their kids and then d-i-v-o-r-c-e.
She got the house. (Sob) She will probably sell it within the next 5 years and none of us is in the position to buy. The house holds so many memories and now I can't even go and visit it.

Oh, let me leave my personal pity-party! Nancy Jo, I love your farm. Hold all your memories close and your loved ones closer.

Love your blog!

What a wonderful place to grow up in!!! I would have a bit of a pity party as well. I hold a fondness for the house that 2 of my children were born in, even though it is nothing special and we don't live any where near it anymore. Thanks for sharing your wonderful treasures!!
