Marilyn,
The older I get the less I like the cold weather. I do love that we have all 4 seasons but the January/February stretch is the hardest. At least the days are getting slightly longer which is helpful.

I am making A quilt of hearts for my youngest granddaughter. Cutting smaller hearts from the scraps and appliqueing them on squares. Then putting the farmgirl sister name on one side and her given name on the other. I want to use black or navy between to give them a stained glass look. That one will be smaller and a wall hanging for me

The lengthening of winter days has been dramatic here. My husband commented on it yesterday. Yesterday was such a beautiful blessing. 59 degrees, Sun and no wind. I was outside gardening in a sleeveless summer dress. Tomorrow we go back down, sweaters and big coats. That is Texas.

I won't be able to see the rest of my fabric squares until I get back from Grand Rapids. Not sure when that will be yet.

Today was a great mail day. My two boxes of crafting supplies that I had ordered from Blitsy arrived as did Valentine squares from Judith, Sherry and Mary Ellen. Sherry included a chocolate, yum! Mary Ellen included the cutest Valentine and popcorn and Judith included a label that says I Love You. As always I am amazed at your creative ideas. I also enjoyed that Sherry identified her fabrics. That was a great idea. I still have not received two squares that are the same. Wow!

I received Maryellen's fabric today! And, the popcorn valentine wasn't "corny" at all! Where is this variety of Valentine design coming from!? Still no two alike. Thank you, Maryellen!

Hi, Farmgirls! I have all my squares mailed now. They will be arriving soon! My daughter picked up my fabric for me as I am laid up with a boot on my foot. Have no idea what I did, but so far has been ruled out a sprain due to bruising and bleeding, bone spur and now scheduled for an MRI. I was at a trade days market selling my goat milk soap products and came home with a swollen bruised foot. Never knew I injured myself. I have been receiving all the lovely squares and no two alike! Can't wait to get started on a project for them! {{{Farmgirl HUGS}}}}

Oh my, Betty. I am sorry you hurt yourself. When we get busy and focused sometimes things happen that we do not remember at all. I always have scratches on my arms, from chicken wire. Frequently someone will say, "Do you know you're bleeding?" And of course I don't. I sure hope you get it fixed soon. Keep us informed. Of BLESS you.
