This is an ornament I made from a vintage Santa cookie cutter. I used vintage buttons and glued them in the cutter and filled the spaces with glitter glue. Found the pink tree at Michaels and glued that to the cutter. Added a hanger and there it is! This year has flown.....I had such a fun time with the spool ornament swap and hope you did too!!
I am including a site to look for some examples: http://funfamilycrafts.com/cookie-cutter-ornaments
Hope this helps!
I was thinking about the ornaments for 2016---Two thousand and sixteen!~!! and thought about making ornaments using cookie cutters. I have made these and seen some from googling and I think they are sweet.
You can find cookie cutters from yard sales, estate sales, ebay, hobby stores (although we are trying for the vintage ones) thrift stores.......you may have some that have been in your cabinet!
I decided to go ahead and put the list for the 12 months of the year so you can be finding the ones that you need. I think this will be a fun and inventive swap. To decorate, think, paper, rhinestones, old broken jewelry, old buttons, glitter glue, old pearls, just no stickers or hastily prepared ornaments. Of course, they will need a hanger! so include that.
Also, this year, lets just make a spectacular ornament and leave out the extras. My extra drawer is getting full. This will help with the shipping cost. Please don't think I am trying to tell you how to do your swap, but for me, I cannot be sending extras.
Monthly sign ups will be put on the forum as usual with the sign up for that month only--you can go and come as you please, but if you sign up for a specific month, please fulfill your swap.

Please include me. I have a huge tub of cookie cutters, many of which were my mother's. I bet I've got quite a few already.
