For years, all I stored in my canisters that sit on my kitchen counter, were flour and sugar. The other two canisters always sat empty. Oh, there was an occasionally tea or coffee which just didn't work for me. I believe that I found what to store in them. I now put brown sugar in one and cinnamon in the smallest one.

What do you ladies store in yours that sit on your kitchen counters?

I store Flour, sugar, and tea... they are really cute canisters so I leave them sitting on the counter (they have apples on them).

I keep: white flour, wheat flour, corn meal and sugar in my canisters. But, due to the lack of counter space, they have to live in my pantry. They are not cute just functional so in doesn't hurt my feelings that they are hidden. :0)

Mine also live in my pantry. I have flour, white sugar, brown sugar, powdered sugar, cocoa, old fashioned oats, tea and coffee. They are large tall clear plastic Rubbermaid canisters with red lids that snap down. The one with tea holds the sleeves of tea packets from a box of Lipton tea packets - helps to keep them fresher I think. The one with coffee holds bag of coffee I'm working on at the moment, a tablespoon for measuring it and the package of coffee filters.

I'd like to get more for self rising flour, corn meal, other specialty flours, maybe cornstarch, etc.

I hadn't thought of the cornmeal or even the cocoa... But, I thought my mother was the only one that put powdered sugar in hers.

I have two large tin canisters that I bought at estate sales years ago. One holds flour ~ the other cornmeal and they live in bottom kitchen cabinet.

I also have an vintage enamel lunch box that a friend gifted me from her visit to Paris, France. She bought it at the Paris Fleamarket. I keep special tea in it.

I have two LARGE glass canisters for flour and sugar. A variety of vintage jars / canisters, all glass, for brown sugar, pot barley, oatmeal, macaroni.
I have two large lidded antique crocks. I use one for bread (it holds a loaf of bread perfectly) and the other for utensils. I leave the lid off the one with utensils.
I like very cleared off counters, but for things I like to look at that are also functional.

My canisters are not beautiful by any means, just plain clear with no designs. I store sugar, flour, powdered sugar, and macaroni noodles in mine. Since mine are not pretty at all I put mine in my pantry.

I have red ones on my counter for white flour, sugar, coffee and cocoa. Then I have a Lipton's vintage tea can/box that I keep my teas in. My cornmeal, macaroni, noodles are in other jars with snap lids on them in the pantry.

My canisters are ceramic barns. I have had them for over twenty years. They are really cute. I also have the Warren Kimbel cookie jar, etc, and the Debbie Mumm barn cookie jar. Add a chicken cookie jar and my special cow and I have lots of color and hiding places. They are all out to see. I love them.

My daughter bought me clear glass canisters when I moved into my house. I have flour, white sugar, brown sugar and in the tallest spaghetti.
