I have a vintage dress pattern I'd just love for summer. Any help with telling me how to create a larger size... Much appreciated. I'd like to make these summer dresses over the winter. |

Can you post a picture? Style and cut would determine how to enlarge. Thanks.

I, too, have a vintage dress pattern that I would like enlarged. It's an Anne Adams Wrap-around dress.

This should not be too difficult, especially with #3.
There are several things you may do to enlarge the pattern. Measure yourself against the pattern then make a muslin pattern of each piece to your measurements and tweek it from there. Make the seam allowances about 3 inches and either hand or machine baste the muslin garment together. Have someone help you pin fit the muslin garment. Mark the pinned darts, tucks, hem lines, etc. Take the muslin garment apart and transfer all the necessary markings. True the lines on the muslin pieces. You may now use the muslin pieces as a the pattern or transfer it to paper. This should get you close to the fit you want.
