Hi Diana,
When you click on the "upload picture" button while viewing the chat room on your phone, it should give you the option to browse your phone's gallery for an image to upload. I haven't played around with it with my phone ... yet. Of course today's the day I forgot it at home. Out of curiosity, what type of phone do you have? (Iphone, Android) |

I keep getting a "505 Error the service you requested is not available" message when I try to upload pix. Sometimes it does sort of upload but I get the tiny blue box with an icon in the center and no pic.
I am on a mac trying to upload jpg
What would you suggest I try?
Thanks! Cindy |

Cindy, this "server 500" error is a general error that can mean many things.
One of the first things that I would have you check is that the photo is not too big. In general a 3" x 5" picture at 72 dpi is an appropriate size for the internet.
Another quick possible issue could be how the image is named on your computer or device...your computer or device may a low special characters (*, %, \, #, ect) in naming the image, that the forum upload tool does not... so if your image contains these special characters, maybe try renaming it without them and try again.
If non of these things help, let me know and we will dig deeper.
Sorry for the hassle. Lucas

Lucas,
Thanks for the response. I have a feeling it is something I'm doing, but I appreciate your help diagnosing things.
The stats on the pictures named just apron1.jpg and apron2.jpg are:
width 320 height 240 res 72
I took new pics and tried the process with them and the same results - the little blue box with a "?" icon shows as the upload.
What might I try?
Thanks in advance- Cindy |
