Hey there my Farmgirl sisters.
I am asking for a little magic thrown my way. My father and I are discussing the idea of opening a from scratch bakery in my tiny town. We want to offer rustic breads, scrumptious soups and sandwiches, and local coffee. Every day we will have a special item for sale- dense brownies, warm crumbles, or sticky cinnamon buns. This has always been my father's dream but when he was younger, it was seen as a "woman's job" to be a baker and he was scorned for wanting to do it. We even found a lovely building to work in- it was actually a bakery when I was a child! I already have the decor and look picked out (kind of a distressed, white/cream, farmgirl romantic look). This would be the ONLY bakery in my area and so far, everyone in town is excited for it.
It all seems so perfect, but there are so many little things that must come into place for this to work. It is all so up in the air right now. I am asking for a little farmgirl magic so that things fall into place as they should and that it all works out in the end for the best.
And if the bakery does open, you all are invited for some complimentary baked goods! |
