Wanted to let everyone know that Emi is here!!! My water broke Wednesday morning... but no contractions. We finally came to the hospital around 7:30 that night... no contractions. They started me on pitocin around 2 Thursday morning... irregular contractions. So last night, at 1940, Emi was born via c-section, almost 36 hours after my waters ruptured! Because of how long I had been ruptured, we are both being observed for infection. So far everything looks good.

Well I guess little Emi couldn't wait for another 11 days. She looks adorable and I bet you are glad that she is finally here. Hope the two of you are okay and will be home soon. Congratulations on your new addition to the family.

Thank you so much everyone for your sweet words! We are having some nursing difficulties due to thrush (we think), but other than that, everyone is loving having another baby in the house :) Here is Emi the day we came home (last Sunday)... mad ;)

Aww.. so cute. Shannon, I don't have any experience with thrush, but a friend of mine had a hard time with one of her babies, and I think she used Gentian Violet... I don't know what that is or what it does but I'm pretty sure it's the only thing that helped for her.
