Woo Hoo! I turned in my big project yesterday and got to get my grade today - passed with flying colors! Eight and a half months of hunting down and identifying specimens, pressing and drying and gluing, researching, photographing and typing up a big binder of 28 native plants and trees...DONE! No more nights past midnight working on it, no more weekends where I am at my desk instead of family time. I did it! I worked so hard on that binder, and I am really proud of it. Now I have a nice reference and souvenir of the experience. Now I only have two more months until I take my final and I am a certified Master Gardener! I have really enjoyed the process and learned so much!

Farmgirl Hugs,
Nicole

Well done, Nicole, so proud of you for putting in the time, effort and getting it done. I knew there was a work involved with being a Master Gardener but I didn't realize just how much.

Awww...thank you girls! It's weird to have so much evening time without staying up late working on that project and to be told I did so well by the head teacher is such a relief!

Sara, the way they told us, there are different Master Gardener classes throughout the US. Connecticut supposedly is the most difficult, with the most comprehensive course being the one I enrolled in through University of Connecticut. They like to say that our offices "set the standard". While it was a heavy task, we learned so much, so I am happy and blessed to have gotten in. I may actually try to become an Advanced Master Gardener. Not sure yet, but I know it is more flexible than what I have just completed.

Thanks so much for all of your support and cheers. I love you all, my dear farmsisters!

Farmgirl Hugs,
Nicole
