Let me just say Mono is NO fun! Right after my 13 yo came home from camp first of July, she was sick. Strep is what the doc thought. I wasn't convinced, I even suggested Lymes or Mono, but they were sure it was so "typical" even though the rapid test was neg. 2 wks later I took her back, they did a draw and sure enough, Mono!

Meanwhile the boys also got is (5 and almost 3) and although I figured I was safe, as most adults are, I am about 90% certain I have it as well.

This headache, swollen lymph nodes and sore throat, ocular pain, joint pain, exhaustion is REALLY getting to us all. :(

Many Blessings- Alicia #5232

I pray you and your family are feeling better soon!!!I had a friend who had it back in the late 70's...She said she had never been so sick...I pray for a speedy recovery for all of you as it took her quite some time to get better...

Hugs!

Alicia, I am so sorry to heat that you are sick as well as the children! Mono is a miserable illness and takes it's time going away, it seems. Take it easy and I hope all of your start getting your energy back and the symptoms go away. Such a bummer being sick since July!!

Alicia, I'm so sorry that your family has to go through this. My daughter had it and it is no fun. She developed Staph infection right after she got mono. Now she has fibromyalgia. Make sure you look out for the long term effects All my best wishes for a full recevery.
