Speaking of trailer curtains...
I was re-reading MaryJane's post on her Airstream re-birth... And she pointed out an area that to many trailerettes forget... http://internationalglampingweekend.com/airstream_restoration.asp?p=1 To line your curtains... I have seen so many 'sisters' put a ton of work and $$ into their cute trailer curtains,,, only to not line them... and with in a season or two, fade out... Lining them protects your sweet fabric as well as gives you some privacy.. Depending on the type of fabric you use,,, it might be wise to use 'dark out' curtain lining fabric.... This will really protect and give much needed privacy... Nothing funnier than seeing a siluette of a sister changing close,(think of hand shadow puppets on the wall ),, because she has her interior lights on and the curtains are not lined...
For our Silver Streak, I ventured into a local Thrift and bought a pair of dark out curtain panels for under $10... took them home, laundered them and then proceeded to cut and sew new curtains for the windows around the Banquette and kitchen windows.
It is worth the extra bit of time and bit of money... and it sure beats having to replace your curtains every year or two due to their fading...
Happy Trails....
