My squares are cut, ironed to fit the envelopes, and ready for the labels.

Maybe we will have a few more sign up this week.

Denise - it depends on the size of envelope - for me to send a regular envelope is about $1.20 - my guess is that it will be about $3-4 to send it to me, maybe less or more depending on how much it weighs.

Linda - did you email the patterns? I didn't receive one.

I emailed them, Joyce, and your name was on the list. I will email just to you again. Maybe the first went into your Spam?

I don't think it would be that much, Joyce. $3-4 is a lot and it doesn't weigh much for just 2 pieces of fabric. I believe it is around $1 but I will check with my post office and let everyone know, though it might be different from different zip codes.

It costs about $1.20 to mail to Canada using a standard size envelope and not to exceed 1/4" in bulk size.

Thank you, Becky :) I know for me it's quite a bit different - I would pay almost double that.

I'm sorry to say that Joyce has had to drop out of this swap. I have removed her name from the list.

We have a few more days for possible sign-ups. So far, we are at 13 now, so you would be mailing out 12.

We have worked it out and Joyce will be joining us. We came up with a way that saves her a lot of postage money. Thank you all so much for sending me suggestions. We all seemed to think alike because we all wanted Joyce to be able to take part. So glad we worked it out and found a way that Joyce can participate without a major dent in her pocketbook.

I do not understand why it is so expensive to send mail across an imaginary line called the border between Canada and the US. We are neighbors! I can mail to Washington state, a letter for $.49, but for a few more miles they want tripple???

More than triple - because they said unless it was paper in the envelope it had to go as a package. I know - it is ridiculous.

Will three stamps ($.49) take a #10 business envelope to Joyce? Does any one know?

I will check tomorrow at the PO and let everyone know what I find out. I'm going to take an envelope and have it weighed then I can tell you.

I have also ironed them FLAT because that helps lower the postage.

I had fixed the envelopes that I have addresses for, and put stamps on. I put three on Joyce's. I did not know if it is enough. I can ask at the P.O., if you don't have time to go.

I can't believe how incredibly sweet everyone has been - the encouraging comments and emails I've received - you all are truly a blessing from the Lord! It feels SO good to know that I have a home here on this board with all these lovely lovely ladies. I truly wish that I could visit each and everyone of you often and sit down to a cup of tea. I know that I would love to chat and receive physical hugs from each of you :) Great big virtual hugs to all of you!!
