Dear 'sisters', both my MaryJane Farm ones and Sisters on the Fly ones... stay safe,,,
I just read the news about the Wenatchee & Cashmere fires going on..
Central & Eastern Washington is getting hammered with fires... due to the drought, high winds and high (higher than normal) heat.
Hugz and prayers for you all.

All Us Washingtonians Thank you for your prayers! Our Firefighters are going to be exhausted before
The Fire Season Officially Starts. We are as dry right now as we normally are in Aug/Sept Months. I can't even
believe they are selling Fireworks...but it is such big business here that I think they will sell them and then
maybe call a burn ban at the last minute and NOT allow them. If they do allow them we will have even more
fires to contend with.

Hugs and Prayers to ALL,
Peggy

oh Peggy, I hear ya!
I see Fireworks stands all over Fresno County... and they popped up right after we had 4 huge fires up here in the mountains,, DUH! but I noticed "No Fireworks" signs up here,,, none down the mountain,,, yet... I guess Greed trumps common scence!
We moved from Spokane to Central Calif., back in 2013,,, just as huge fires were cropping up in that area,, only to arrive in Calif., to fires of equal mass and destruction... Very Scary.
hang in there WA sisters...

For the past several nights, the moon here has been an orange-reddish color due to the wildfires. It's supposed to be a full moon tonight, haven't seen it yet due to the cloud cover. We'll have fireworks here, no chance of fires due to all the rain. We're drenched. It just poured about an hour ago. I had to buy a machete to clear the brush and weeds in my backyard. Honestly, it's like a jungle. The weather is going berserk and we're going to have to change to adapt to it.

So far Colorado has not been suffering wildfires like in past years, BUT, it has been HOT, especially on the Western Slope since about the 10th of June. We had LOTS & LOTS of rain in May and early June, but this heat wave is drying it up rapidly!

Praying for relief and safety!
