Do any of you smoke or cure foods? We just read this great book THe River Cottage Curing & Smoking Handbook and are inspired! :) My husband just bought something at a garage sale to use as a firebox for cold smoking and he's building an upper part --
I'd love to hear how/what you cure and smoke!

We do! My husband loves to and wants to do more of it.

What kind of things do you smoke?

Just fish at this point, but after reading that book we'd like to branch out and do more meats :)

My DH got me an awesome electric smoker for Christmas but due to the weather we haven't tried it out yet! I can't wait! I think we'll start with a whole chicken and then go from there. DH really wants to try smoking a brisket!!! |
