We have a Triple Crown Winner! The last time was in 1978--I remember it. American Pharaoh took the lead early and was running faster at the end of the race than at the beginning (after a mile and a half, which tires most horses). He was pulling away from the other horses as he approached the finish line. This is wonderful news for those who love thoroughbreds.He's the twelfth horse to win the Triple Crown in about a hundred year span. Cindy
