Amy, Santa's sleigh just left Florida heading up the East Coast!! It came early and I didn't see the reindeer but there was this unusual motor sound for a sleigh?! Hehe, the reindeer are loving that thick lichens and day long sunshine up there above the Arctic Circle! I had the privilege to see reindeer in their natural habitat when we visited Finland two years ago.

It has been a typical hot and humid day here with rain showers and steamy heat since about 10 am. But, then what to my wondering eyes should appear, but the USPS man and a big box in hand!! I leaped from my desk, to the door I flashed and tore open the lock to the blue uniformed worker on porch! With smiles and a thank-you I sped to my room, ripped open the box and took a gasp of delight!
Each little package, so carefully wrapped, was opened in haste, and big smiles did result all over my face! There were adorable ornaments, a garland, pretty plate,a reindeer with chocolate, stickers, snowman pin to wear, handcrafted dishcloths, one of Amy's Christmas song CDs, and a vintage copy of the Christmas Ideals magazine from 1983!! Oh my, what a box of treasures!!
Thank-you Amy for such a wonderful surprise!! This is my first time celebrating Christmas in July and I must say, it was just the BEST! I used to buy the Ideals magazines in the early 1980s and it has been many years since I had seen one. This issue has a short story by Gladys Taber who is one of my favorite authors. I love all of the old timey photos and sweet poems and stories. It will definitely be read cover to cover this year when I set up our tree and can enjoy sitting nearby and enjoying the lights and decorations.
Thank-you too for that adorable knitted sweater ornament. Too cute!!
Have a great trip next week to Martha's Vineyard with your family!! Thank-you again for spoiling me today!! Ho, Ho, Ho!!

| Sorry to be a pest...still a newbie and have never participated in a swap until now. What happens if the deadline to mail out the package comes and goes and I have never heard back from my swap partner? I know that "life happens"...I am not upset or anything at all...just curious what we should do if this occurs from, time to time. |

Hi Beverly :-) If you haven't heard from your swap partner, contact the hostess of this swap Judy aka wildflower17. She will either try to make contact with your partner or assign you another. Most of the gals are pretty good about swapping & it could just be your partner is on vacation or something has happened. I hope this helps ;-)
