And I do love it, Linda! :) I have some sad news, however...Mine may be a couple days late. I had it all finished, but wanted it a bit stiffer, so I starched it and baked it (like you would little girls hair bows). Well, I have been swamped today (and will be tomorrow as well) packing and getting Isabelle ready for camp on Sunday. I forgot about it. I burnt it...:( I am solo very sad. I was even making an extra to send a Henhouse sister. I am so sad about this! I should have just left it be and mailed it. I am so frustrated. I am hoping I can work in between sewing riding skirts for Isabelle. Nothing like waiting till 2 days before.

Oh My!!Amy~~SongSparrow, That brooch is just precious. Girls, it is a tiny counted cross stitched RW&B heart within a small frame that is the pin. Then red and blue ruffle is added around the small frame. Just precious!!! Also, I received handmade soap, dishcloth, also RW&B and then some tinsel garland to decorate with!! You were so generous! No problem at all about it being a little late. I definitely understand how craft projects can go awry sometimes.

Beth, Beth Beth! I love my brooch! And I love the fact that you used so many different materials, including the pin from an estate sale! It's unbelievably artistic and creative and I'm going to sport it on my hat on July 4th at the picnic, band concert and fireworks. Also thank you for the darling "Liberty" soft decoration. Just my style. Here's a photo of the fabulous 4th brooch!

I received my brooch from Alicia today - I love it. I'll post a pic a bit later and add it here. I love the embroidered dishtowel, the Sweet and Spicy tea bags, and the flag napkins she tucked in with the Americana brooch. The brooch is layers and layers of fabric "petals" with a red star in the center.
