I'm a little dab kind of canner. A little of this and a little of that. Today I am preparing cherries and strawberries for making preserves tomorrow morning.

I bought several pounds of cherries, and have eaten what I want so the rest will be used in chocolate mint cherry preserves.

1 carton of strawberries for cinnamon basil preserves.

Will put them up in 4oz jars, won't process, and will keep them in fridge or give away.

Well, things didn't go as planned. I had forgotten about pitting the cherries, so instead of preserves I made cherry spearmint syrup to be used in summer drinks. Liked the way it turned out. 3 10oz jars

Used the chocolate mint with the strawberry preserves and it turned out really good. 3 4oz jars

Yum, Sara, your" mistake" sounds delicious too!! Chocolate mint cherry preserves sounds out of this world as well. I bet it is super good over vanilla ice cream!
