Hi yall ! I meant to post this yesterday but I never got around to it . I was enjoying my first full weekend "off" in 6 weeks! got up early and threw this in the crockpot. Thought I would share it with yall. It was my first time with this one and we all loved it..
Cowboy Stew
1-2 lbs lean stew meat 4 potatoes peeled and cut into bite sized pieces 1 medium onion , chopped 28 oz can of any type baked beans (I used Bush's vegetarian) BBQ sauce (the original said 6 tbs but I used a "drizzle")
Layer all ingredients in a crockpot(I sprayed with PAM first). Cook on low/medium for 8-10 hours. This was delish! Also had a tossed salad and roll. Dinner done and I spent all day in my craft room |

Hey Farmkitty-- I thought I'd try your stew recipe for tonight, since I'm going to be cookin' my little bottom off for the holiday, and dinner is the LAST thing I want to think of....So,I just left the house for work, with the crock pot on low and full of cowboy stew. I added a little garlic and worcestshire, too, but that's because EVERYTHING in my house gets garlic and worcestshire. I used a pork roast as well. It was sure smelling good already!
Can't wait til 6:00! Jonni
Just think of all of the roads there are...all of the things I haven't seen....yet. |

Hey Farmkitty, I made the stew the day AFTER Thanksgiving. We were at Grandma's thurs. so no leftovers! I added garlic, because that is a prerequisite at my house also. We loved the stew, thanks for the recipe!
