In our part of the world, springtime can bring all kinds of variations in weather. We'd been having warm days, with some spring winds (which are not pleasant). Mid-week last week it cooled off, then we had cloudy weather and Friday night we got about 2 inches of very wet snow.
I'm getting ready to plant in these containers and decided to load 'em up with snow and let it melt into the potting soil to get it moistened. So, it could be slower and less flow through than just pouring it in from a watering container.
Of course, by noon, ALL the snow everywhere was melted!
