This past September, my little ones hopped on the school bus, and I went to work in my garden. As I was working, a lady who I had met at the farmer's market during the summer pulled into my driveway and asked if she could paint my garden. Mind you, the flowers that you see at the market do not always mean that the garden they came from is weed free. I humbly showed this woman to my garden, and she painted what I can only hope to have in the future!

To see the painting, go to www.kalinowskifineart.com. Click on Current work, and then oils, and then current work again. The painting is on page 4 titled "Her Secret Garden" (to get to it from my house you walk thru a little trail and over a part time creek)

Thanks Libbie,

That day was a gift. For hours, Kathleen painted and I weeded. The weather was perfect and the two of us were able to really enjoy what we were doing. It was a day to be thankful in - of course, we should always be, but it came naturally that day! Ann

You are very fortunate. She is a talented artist with a wonderful eye for pastels (which are my favorites). I am jealous. Tee hee.

Wow, how beautiful. Is that you in the picture? Just gorgeous. Are you getting a print of this? What a wonderful thing to have happen.

Sunshine and Anne, I wish that prints were going to be made of it. I'd love to buy it, but am not planning on it at this time. We are paying for horse fencing and an addition on our house right now. If my husband surprised me a at Christmas with it - I wouldn't complain! Ann

Anne- What a wonderful thing to happen! You and your garden have been commited to canvas for posterity! I hope that you get a momento of it one way or another, your garden looks wonderful. That's the beauty of artistic license, the weeds don't have to be included! (I bet there weren't any!) I'll cross my fingers for you and hope that
you have a surpise!

with a happy heart
