Like so many of you I have a lot of leftover scraps from sewing! I saw this and just had to start one! The strips used in this one are 5 inches long and 1 inch wide. You can use any measurements you like, just tie once around the wire. I got my wire form from Hobby Lobby $3.99 for 2 and I had a 40% off coupon! This is the picture from the internet. Here is what I have so far! great Winter Project!

Hi Connie...I saw this too on Pintrest. I like the scraps you are using and the bigger size.
I have tons of scraps too...I might try this some time when I am bored...or I might do a
colored burlap one...haven't decided yet.
Want to see pictures when yours is all decorated. Love it so far!!!

Hugs and Smiles,
peggy

Connie I like the idea and your choice of fabrics. I have the wire wreath, so all I have to do is start collecting scraps of fabric. A red-white-blue one would be great for the 4th. Denim or chambray for the blue. I wouldn't mind a little yellow in the prints.

Peggy, my sister does a lot of decorating with burlap & velvet together. Her favorite combination is brown burlap with brownish red velvet.

I love these wreaths. I'm glad they're making a 'come-back'. I made these and sold them in my craft booth for $15 some 20+ years ago.

They can also be made with the straw wreaths. Using 4"-6" squares, glue gun and a 'poker' of some type (I use a screwdriver) Right side of fabric toward the poker, place the center of the fabric square onto the poker and make a 'tent'. Put a dab of glue on the tip of the fabric and then punch into the straw wreath. Repeat and repeat and repeat until the wreath is complete. Leave the back unfinished so the wreath hangs flat on the wall.

They are pretty on the wall or even on a table as a center piece with candles in the center. My 2 favorites are one that I made with all the scraps from making my childrens' clothes and one that I made for my daughter from the scraps of her wedding dress that I made.

Very cute Connie :) Wouldn't it be cute for a sewing/craft room and embellish it with spools, measuring tape, embroidery scissors?

In the 1970's I sewed my wreaths from fabric then braided it. I had seen this Wire -Fabric one a long time ago, then a face Book friend posted it to my wall and said, it reminded her of me.

I work on it a little here and there, just got over the flu and still weak, so I can do this!

Sara, I love the Burlap for Fall, and Catherine, I love the Straw! Sharon sewing room , Great Idea!! I like it cause there is no sewing to this one! and no glue gun, jut 1 tie! Peggy I can tie the bigger pieces easier!

This one will go on my Grandbaby, Lily June's Door Nursery door with her name banner also! I am using bright fabrics for this one.

Shannon, maybe get your kids involved! I just do about 5 different colors a day so far! which is 40 strips! I think it will look perfect on Lily June's Nursery door! This is how far I have gotten! LOL! I work on it then take a break and sew on my clothespin bag swap. it will be great for the hot summer too, I have to stay in in the extreme heat!
I will just cut strips while I watch American Idol Thursday night! LOL!

I love it, Connie! And thanks! That will be my next scrappy project. Now to decide what color combination to use. It's not like I don't have any fabrics. LOL!

Connie, I went to the Salvation Army earlier and bought 2 dress, 1 man's shirt, and 1 tablecloth. I now have my red-white-blue-yellow fabrics for 4th of July wreath. Will get started today by cutting off buttons, washing/drying, ironing, and ripping apart the clothes. Fabric will be ready when I am to cut it up.

Sara that is fabulous!! I will make another stop on Thursday to mine! I am using scraps from making Tilda dolls all last year for this one, for Lily June's door!

I used baby clothes from Goodwill for some of my Tilda Dolls too, Like Baby Jeans to make a Jean Jacket for the Dolls! it was perfect, not to thick to sew! I got a little more done today after Lunch! It is relaxing to me!

Connie your wreath is looking good - sort of like a flower opening up.

The fabrics for my wreath are light weight denim with little white flowers; chambray; yellow; white & red plaid. I have 4 colors - yours has 5 - will look for another fabric - maybe a small red print. Five prints would make it go quicker.

Connie, your wreathe is just beautiful! I love what you have done and it will be adorable on the baby's nursery door.

All of the other ideas of combinations sound fun too. Maybe I should get myself motivated to make one as well. One would be pretty on the front door in Spring colors as a change from the usual ones I use.

I just love this wreath.
You've motivated me to make one for my craft room.
How did you hang it? Add a ribbon?

God has a bigger plan for me than I have for myself.
