A fat quarter is a quarter of a yard but not a cut quarter of yard. What you do is cut 1/2 yard of fabric and then cut that a the seam and that will give you a fat quarter. I will sit down this week and figure the groups out. Yes you can be in 2 groups. I have a cold right now and I need a couple days to get myself feeling better. Hugs, Elizabeth
I would do two groups as well Elizabeth. Also a fat quarter is usually 18" x 22" depending on the width of the fabric = sometimes 42" wide, and sometimes 44' wide!
Thanks Bramble:) I actually started to learn quilting this summer...but due to BAD allergies I always was sneezing and couldnt learn to well and it was not good for cutting;) HACHOO!My auntie quilts and I thought it'd be great to learn. I want to do it on my own but I still have no clue how to do it. If anyone can post directions or tips ANYTHING! I'd appreciate that. Nice to know a fat quarter is all about;)
