We lost our dear Chihuahua yesterday. She has been really ill for a couple of months. I had to help her on her way to heaven. There has been so much loss in my life lately.....I'm having a hard time just breathing. I will just embrace my other loved ones, both furry and otherwise, for strength and love. Thanks for this forum to express my grief.

I am so sorry for your lost. The last thing we can do for our beloved pets is to let them go in peace. Take comfort in knowing you did all you could do.

Thanks so much, girls. It is amazing how much room in your home a Chihuahua takes up. I notice everywhere she isn't. The worst part is her not being there in the mornings. She helped me through menopause, empty nesting and losing both my parents. She definitely help up her end of the friendship scale.

Oh Sherone, I'm crying after this thread. I am so very sorry. We have a chihuahua too, and there is so much love in that tiny package. Your words on your little fur-baby are beautiful.
I've been there, losing pets, and it's always heartbreaking. Thinking of you.
