I received the seeds that I requested from WinterSown.org that I will be planting to provide fresh produce for our family and to our local food pantry. I am so pleased with the different kinds of seeds they sent!

Have you heard of the Plant a Row for the Hungry program? You just plant an extra row or plant and donate the produce. Very simple but means everything to a Mom who wants to provide her family with fresh, nutritious food. Will you Plant a Row this year?

I haven't heard of this program but I will look into it.

I guess I kinda have been doing this all these years. I plant specific things that I know my neighbors like and give the harvest to them. It's not really donating to the hungry but it is donating!

One of the vendors at our local Farmer's Market gives what he calls his 'first fruits' to Christians in Action that have a food bank, and serves one meal a day to those in need. He sets aside 10% of the first and best of his harvest for his giving.
