Oh how I wish I knew how to knit... I received these sweet Finger-less gloves from a dear friend... She even sent me the instructions... but alas, I don't know how to knit!
I have been wearing them all week,, and when we had to drive down the mountain to run some errand, it was nice,,, my hands were warm, yet, un-like gloves, I did not have to keep taking them off when shopping/checking out at the register... No slowin' this Christmas shopper down! lol!
hmmm, maybe I will send the pattern to my daughter, unlike me,, she can knit!

There are several good tutorials on youtube and lionbrand.com which would help you to get started. If I lived closer, I would be there in a heartbeat to teach you this incredibly relaxing craft. Check it out. My mom claims she could never learn to knit, so she buys kits and expects me to finish them.

Grace, if I lived closer I'd help Marie teach you. It is without a doubt an incredibly relaxing craft. My DH sometimes would disagree with that statement when I am knitting lace or doing lace knitting. Then he always says "I thought you said that knitting was relaxing" as I am frogging rows or putting in life lines. hahahaha.... What I love about knitting is that you can take small projects with you anywhere. (never learned to sit still, so knitting helps me when I am waiting somewhere) Your mitts are really cute.
Marie, I hear ya. My mom can not sew on a button. So she is always getting my sister or I to do her sewing or crafting or fixing. She cracks me up. She can't do anything that has to do with crafting but will be the first to tell you how easy it would be to do this or do that! (shaking my head laughing) |

My mom bought a full-size Aran afghan kit because she liked how it looked and asked me to knit it for her. She knew that I had just taken a few lessons to improve my skills and learn how to read patterns so she thought it would be a cinch for me. Well, that afghan taught me how to make cables and a trellis. For that reason, I guess I was happy to do it.
