I always read the ads because you never know when you see a wandering pet, that it might be in the lost ads, so today when our local paper has a found ad that simply stated, "Found Money", and a phone number, it made me cry, cause I know that there is still really good people in this screwed-up world, so I called and left a message that it wasn't my money, but I wanted to thank who ever put in this ad and wish them a very merry Christmas, a happy New Year, and that God would bless them for this kindness and it would come back to them 10 fold...a couple hours later my phone rang, and it was the lady who placed the ad, and she wanted to thank me for the best message she had ever gotten on her answering machine, and to tell my that she had the owner of the money call her right after I had called, and proved it was her's by amount, what it was in, etc...This sweet lady made my day, and also the day of the women who lost it

Tina, I am so proud of you for taking the time to call the woman and let her know that you valued what she did. You blessed her by acknowledging her good deed, and in turn she blessed you by calling you.

sooo, I got a call from Annie today, (she is the sweet lady who found and returned the money), she , after much arguing, finaly agreed to accept the reward money that was offered to her, and she wanted to split it with me (it turns out that she has been a widow for 30 yrs, and her only child died in Vietnam war), she has no living relatives anymore either, I told her I could not accept any of that money, it was her's for the great deed that she did, she answered if I did'nt take it, I would lose a great friend, lol, ok, what if we donate it to a childrens charity, toys for tots came to mind, and she agreed, only if I would pick her up and we would go together, so she could donate her half also...sooo we spent several hours talking over tea and homemade cookies, and as I said my good byes, she hugged the breath outa me, and said I was the daughter she never had, and always wanted, made me cry all over again, I think I made a great friend today, and I will always cherish that...
