Any suggestion for keeping my monkeys, er, cats from climbing the drying racks? One thinks it is her personal jungle gym. I tried setting up an empty one for her, but I guess she likes the ones with clothes. The other beasties like to pull socks and undies off the bottom rungs then chase them around the living/dining room and kitchen. Live in dust mops? I also tried clothes pinning the socks and undies to the dowels but the little buggers pulled the whole rack over. Short of using bungee cords to secure them to chairs (the racks, not the cats) I don't know what else to try.

I have no suggestions to help you out, but my cat does exactly the same thing. Fortunately, I only have to use it when it's wet outside, otherwise I am able to hang clothes outside most of the time.
Silky is entertaining, even though I'd rather she didn't do that!
Hope you find a solution!

Put two inches of water in the bathtub. Put your tack in the bathtub, hang your clothes and close the shower curtain. When the cats come in they will play with the curtain or when they get in the tub, they will get out right away because their paws are wet. I have done this to train cats not to leave disgusting messes in the tub. It might work for you.

You can use a squirt bottle but that means training them. Every time you catch them at it you squirt them. It works for all kinds of bad behavior.
