When my husband and I got home, we saw a bunch of sick doggie messes, and determined that it was from our little old lady Shih Tzu, Diamond. My husband had overtime to go to, so he dropped Diamond and me off at our vet. They were able to see her right away, and treated her and sent us off with meds.
This may not seem like a blessing, but the weather was supposed to be rainy, and instead it was sunny. Plus, our vet is only a mile or so from our home, so I was able to walk home with Diamond (I'm also glad she's not a Great Dane). Another plus, having a sick dog means that you must clean up (I admit I'm not Suzy Homemaker). Diamond will be fine in about a week.

Vanessa - glad your dog will be well here soon, and even more thankful that you were able to see the blesses I today :) Sometimes it is days like you have had today that reminds us of the little things to be thankful for, but other times, I personally, get stuck in the "bad." Thank you for reminding me that there is always good!

Vanessa, I am glad you little dog diamond is going to be well in a couple of days. Messes are not fun to clean up that is for sure.
My furbabies are senior cats and some days they are busy but I love them anyway.

Vanessa I love how you said having a sick dog means that you have to clean up and it's a plus! That's a great attitude to have. Getting something done that you know should get done, but if you didn't HAVE to do it, you probably wouldn't. I feel that way when we have people over and I have to clean the house. I love your attitude! :)

Unfortunately Diamond passed away in her sleep last night. It was another blessing. I did not want her to have to go to the vet where the strange smell would make her feel scared. She was a true princess who gave us joy.

I am so very sorry for your loss. It does make my heart happy that beautiful Diamond was at home with the ones who love her the most. I will keep your dear family in my prayers for peace and adjusting with your loss.

Awww... Vanessa! I'm so sorry! So, so sorry for your loss... It's such a difficult, painful thing. But you're right - it was a blessing for both of you that she passed quietly in her sleep in her beloved home where her loved ones hearts were beating close by.
