There was a time a couple years ago where I really counted on those brave girl emails. Awesome stuff.
Inside me there is a skinny girl crying to get out, but I can usually shut her up with cookies. |

I wasn't familiar with Brave Girls Club until I saw this post. I checked it out. Women all over the world are so amazing....Farmgirls, Brave Girls, whatever kind of girls...Women are resourceful, creative and the glue that holds everything together.
One of the best compliments from one of my daughters: "Moma, you smell good...like dirt." |

Sounds very interesting. A lot of information to read, I'll post later on my thoughts. I like the name, for sure. I believe we are all brave girls when we have to be. Was Melody one of the farmgirls? Just wondering. There was a Melody that lived in Texas. She and I had chats on the phone. Such a nice person. I'd love to chat with her again. Wondering if that Melody is this Melody????? Off to read all about the Brave Girls Club. Marly

Melody I know lives in Idaho, so not sure if this is the same gal or not. Mary Jane Magazine this month talks about the BGC. I know that it is a very inspiring place for sure...I get daily "A Birdie Told Me" tid bits. They also have going on, is a subscription Soul School thing: http://my.bravegirlsclub.com. I am doing the basic journaling one. I am considering it part of my therapy for my anxiety. They have paid content as well as free stuff too. They also do every year a Brave Girl Camp in Idaho, to where it is like a therapeutic retreat. Yes, we are all Brave Girls as we all deal with the many challenges of life. Very thankful for groups like this and Mary Janes where we can all connect and help/encourage each other. |

Go this in my e-mail INBOX today...kinda ringing true with the news of a co-worker going through domestic violence (from today's news at my one office)...she feels so low and worthless. We all feel like that off and on...gotta keep the faith and remember we are gorgeous creations!
'A Little Birdie Told Me' - Brave Girls Club
Dear Gorgeous Girl,
Sometimes it's hard to remember that today won't end with a "THE END" but that the story of our lives will go on tomorrow. Today will end with a "TO BE CONTINUED".
The mercy in all of this is that we truly DO get to start over every single day, writing the story of our lives one experience at a time, but that the story gets to go on. And things get to resolve themselves and plots can twist and turn and characters can make their way in and out of the story. But every day, the story goes on.
If you are in a place, dear girl, a place that you don't want to be, just know that the story is not over. It is far from over. The rest of your life has yet to be written.
Make it a good one, and wait it out when all you can do is wait. Everything always works out somehow, and most of the time in ways we weren't expecting, but ways that are so much better than what we ever wished for.
Stay with it. Be true to you. YOU are the main character. Be exactly who you are.
You are so very loved, dear friend.
xoxo
