This is an interesting vintage book I picked up this summer . . . could be a gift for a husband/friend/son who is into such a tale of adventure and personal challenge. The book is 'Alone' by Admiral Richard Byrd, and it is his personal, introspective story of living alone in the interior of Antarctica for a period of time back in the 1930s. It's an autographed copy, hardcover, copyright 1938. The binding is tight and pages, though yellow, are clean. The spine area of the book is faded, from sunlight hitting it.

Are you interested? I'm open to trade or $8, with shipping. Let's chat!

Sorry I can't find these books in multiples! I'm going to try to find more 'man-oriented' books and other gifts. I know they're the most difficult to find special gifts for, mostly always.

Beemoosie -- Did you get my last email? Unfortunately, I'm having trouble accessing my hotmail account right now, so I'm not able to get your reply. Hopefully I'll be able to get to my email later today. Just wanted to give you a heads up that our trade is still ON.

Thanks! -- katie

Bonnie -- Did you receive my email? I need your address so I can send that book to you -- soon!

Let me know.

Katie

EDIT: Oops! I checked our previous emails and I do have your address! Will send the book on Monday -- via Media Mail. Even with the holiday rush, I think the book will reach you in time for Christmas giving, if that is your intent. Let me know if you'd rather I send it faster.

Thanks!

Katie
