To far north for me to feel it, but, friends in sacramento did, it was in napa, and it was a 6.0...

I haven't had the TV on so I haven't heard. Hope all is well.

I live in northeast TX and from time to time we feel the earthquakes in OK. Nothing like a 6.0 but it does get your attention.

Hugs, Sara

We live in Danville, CA....45 miles south of Napa. We definitely felt the huge jolt...it woke all of us up out of a sound sleep. There was no damage here, but definitely lots of devastation to Napa. Historical buildings destroyed, flooding, fires, road closures, tons of property damage, etc. However, fortunately, there were NO fatalities! 120 people have been reported injured, and three of them are "critical". The others were minor (cuts, etc.) The news has been running pretty much all day here, keeping us updated.

Hey Tammy...I was wondering if you felt the Earthquake. My oldest kids were in Napa Valley
just a couple of weeks ago. The ones who live in Seattle. Glad they missed that!

I will have to watch the News tonight and get an update on it.

Prayers for Everyone Affected by it!

Hugs,
Peggy

Peggy, we felt it all right! Except the dog...who slept right through it :/ My good friend has two sisters and numerous nieces and nephews who all live in Napa. She told me that her sister had a lot of damage to her house and also to the hair salon that she owns in downtown Napa. Her niece lives on the Napa river and also sustained major damage to her home. Thankfully, none of them were injured. There are so many beautiful historic brick buildings that just crumbled....very sad. Glad your kids were long gone from there! I had to laugh when the news reported that the wineries that hadn't sustained any damage were still planning on being open today.....seriously????

Hugs, Tammy

Yikes! it did some damage... but thankfully it was not worse! like the Colinga quake some 20yrs ago...

The Central center of Calif., running South to North is on a major Fault,,, that also runs up through to the Central (N & S) of Washington... pretty scary... Shake, Rattle & Roll,,,

A gazillion years ago, when I worked at the Government Center, in Ventura, CA., The building I worked in was fitted with 'rollers' so that when a Earthquake hit, the building would literally 'roll' preventing (hopefully) any major damage. The funny thing was... we had these reverse osmosis water coolers on each level,,, and just about 1/2 a minute before an earthquake would hit,,, the water cool would start to gurgle... Trust me,,, you learned to listen for things like that in a 5-story building in an area that is prone to earthquakes & tremors..
