If you are near by,,, or don't mind driving a bit,,, be sure to go to the Buggy Barn's 18th Annual Quilt Show... wish I could, but it's s 2 day drive... bummer!

They display over a 100 fabulous hand made quilts from ladies all over WA.
Seeing these quilts is aw inspiring....
If you have been, you know what I mean... if you haven't been, you just must put it on your list of things to do.

Aug,23 & 24 in the Town of Reardon, WA. Tramm road...

Oh Nini, this will be the 2nd year in a row I will not be able to attend since we moved away from Spokane :>(

Quilt shows are just awesome!!!... When I look at the details, the work, the stitchery,,, I am just amazed!
People underestimate the talents of these fiber artists!
And to think a 100 years ago, many rural farm women did this in the evenings after all their domestic duties were finished for the day,,, some did it by poor lamp light, for some, next to a fireplace and for some it was a Sunday gathering of ladies working on a communal quilt...
but as quilters say:,
"Quilting is the threads that bind families together!"..

I have been to some big quilt shows in Spokane with my MIL before she passed away.
She was a wonderful quilter and we so enjoyed the WA Quilt Shows together.

Blessings and Hugs,
Peggy
