I was looking through a stitch encyclopedia for a fun & easy project to do. I decided to try making some tassels from embroidery thread. The first one turned out funny but the second isn't too bad. I'm going to make some more and attach them to a chain necklace I have with an owl pendant on it. I may try making a twisted cord necklace with tassels attached. Wasn't there something about making tassel necklaces in an old issue of MJK? Or maybe it was a stitch magazine. With all this time off from work, I need something to do.

I made a braided cord necklace and attached two tassels to it. Now I need to get more embroidery thread in the color I used for the tassels. I used a slightly different color for the cord itself. I want to attach several tassels and see how it looks. I think adding beads to it would help. I remember now where I saw the idea for tassel necklaces. It was on the Sublime Stitching blog. I haven't got any e-mails from them in quite a while.
