My mother passed away May 27. Yesterday, after Father's Day Lunch, my dad told my sister that we had another sister who had been put up for adoption. She went to a couple from Corpus Christi, the man's name being Buck Noak (spelling may vary). She would have been born in 1962, maybe '63, in Tucson, AZ. This is the first we have heard of this, but would like to connect with her if possible. We assume that Buck is a nickname. He was an electrician by trade. Any help would be appreciated.

first, I am so sorry for your loss, my deepest condolances...there are several sites (including on facebook) where people post to find siblings and children that were adopted, just google "searching for adopted siblings", cause there may be a chance they are looking for you also...as far as Buck being a nickname, actualy that name is really used, especialy in the west...good luck on your search...

Hi Loralie!

I myself was adopted in '85. My mom has the info I would need to find my parents if I so chose, but discussions of my adoption are usually so tense with her, I made the decision to learn how to find them on my own should I ever decide to.

I don't know how births / adoptions were handled back in the '60s, but if it's anything like the '80s, I might have an idea for you.

Go to your local courthouse and find the Birth Records department. Tell them what you know, and they may be able to track her down for you. I certainly hope so, and good luck. Oh! Be forewarned, that if you're in a different state than these particular records, there may be a fee to acquire them.
