Hi all! I have been getting some really bad headaches quite frequently. Today I tried a tea made of feverfew, lavender, and lemon balm. It worked pretty well for my headache, but now I feel disconnected. I'm not sure if it is from the feverfew or just my body fighting something. Has anyone else ever used feverfew? Experience?

I have read that fever few is good for headaches also. I'm not sure what you mean exactly by
feeling disconnected. I use lemon balm as a mood elevator but too much of that seems to
give me bad dreams so I'm careful not to take too much...I use it in a tincture form, tho, not
as a tea. Perhaps just the feverfew and a little lemon juice or feverfew alone with a little honey
would be better? If its the first time you've had a particular herb it's good to start out with a
weak brew. Dehydration can cause headaches too, so in warmer weather when the body
perspires more, drink lots of plain water...but you probably know that already! I don't like
headaches either. Hope you feel better soon.

My daughter got frequent, very strong headaches for a while.

I gave her CALM magnesium powder (at any health store or Vitacost) on the onset of the headache, and feverfew capsules as a preventative. I gave her capsules because she did not like the taste of feverfew. You can take a capsule a day if you get headaches often. Same for the magnesium, as most of us are deficient in magnesium, and that can cause headaches, muscle aches, etc.

I think you may have felt "disconnected" because both lavendar and lemonbalm are so relaxing. If you are sensitive and not used to taking them, I can see that you may have been a strong state of relaxation :).

Maybe this will help.
