Is anyone doing this? or have been doing it? I started my first batch of mulberry and want to exchange ideas with those who are doing or have been doing it.

I started drinking about ACV six years ago. My husband began after my prompting about 5 years ago. It works beautifully and does everything the studies have shown. My son and I both take elderberry every day as well and it has really kept us healthy. Our ancestors knew what they were doing with these natural remedies. Keep researching and learning, it beats taking synthetic meds!

I made several decanters of strawberry and also raspberry "shrub" for the first time a year ago....I love how clean and light it tastes and it was a lot of fun putting them up.

Does anyone have a recipe for a "shrub". I would like to make one for myself.

This is the recipe I am using: 1:1:1 ratio of fruit, sugar, and vinegar (1 cup fruit:1 cup sugar:1 cup vinegar 1. Crush berries or chop fruit into small pieces 2. Mix all ingredients in a clean glass jar. 3. Allow to sit at room temperature for 2 days. 4. Move the fridge and allow to age for an additional 7-14 days until the shrub achieves the taste you want. 5. Strain out and discard the fruit. Keep the shrub in the fridge and enjoy diluted with water, club soda, or in a mixed drink.
I am using Stevia powder for my sugar and rice vinegar in mine.
1 cup sugar = 1 teaspoon Stevia powder
Good Luck and let me know how yours comes along.
I have 1 pint mulberry and 1 pint blueberry that will go in the fridge tomorrow.

This sounds wonderful and refreshing!
Kathy, thank you for sharing the recipe :) Does it matter what kind of vinegar is used? I have some white balsamic which sounds like it would be good to use in this.

The original recipes called for plain white vinegar. I am using white wine vinegar for the milder taste. I know I saw white balsamic in some recipes, why not give it a try?
